Illinois Oil and Gas Resources (ILOIL) Scout Ticket Project

The Illinois Petroleum Resource Board (IPRB) has funded a new project in conjunction with the Illinois State Geological Survey's Oil and Gas Section and Scout Check, Inc. of Evansville, Indiana. This project will consist of scanning all of Scout Check's well tickets from 1937 to the present, associating each ticket with the proper well and making those tickets available for viewing on ILOIL. Tickets that are 5 calendar years old and older will be available for viewing; those that are more recent will still be the proprietary property of scout check but will be made available after the 5 year requirement is satisfied.

There are an estimated 150,000 scout tickets to scan and process. The tickets contain varied amounts and types of data for wells such as formation tops, core descriptions, drill stem test data and completion information. They will be posted to and available on ILOIL immediately upon processing. Scout tickets are currently available for wells in the following counties: Adams, Alexander, Boone, Brown, Bureau, Calhoun, Cass, Champaign, Christian, Dewitt, Williamson, Will, Winnebago, Whiteside and Woodford. For wells which have a scout check ticket, a link to the ticket will be available on the wells electronic summary sheet. This project should be completed in approximately 1 year.
