Oil and Gas Section

The Oil and Gas Section was created in 1925 to facilitate petroleum exploration and encourage intelligent oil field development in Illinois through research and publication.

We answer a variety of inquiries regarding oil and gas matters daily. A large part of our technology transfer is done on a one-to-one basis as we address specific questions from industry, governmental agencies and the general public. We would be more than happy to assist you in any way we can.
