This map shows the distribution of major sand and gravel aquifers at any depth in Illinois.




Bedrock Aquifers Within 300 Feet of Land Surface

This map shows the distribution of major bedrock aquifers within 300 feet of land surface containing potable water in Illinois. Major aquifers are capable of yielding 70 gallons of water per minute.




Bedrock Aquifers Within 500 Feet of Land Surface

This map shows the distribution of major bedrock aquifers within 500 feet of land surface containing potable water in Illinois.




Major Bedrock Aquifers at Depths Greater Than 500 Feet Below Ground Surface

This map shows the distribution of major bedrock aquifers greater than 500 feet below land surface.
