Geological Records Unit Services

The Geological Records Unit provides the following services for the public and staff:
      Open access to the records
      Assistance to visitors and staff
      Answers to quick questions over the telephone or via e-mail
      Well location (Questor) maps and data
      Copying service

Since all records are filed by location - county then section, township, and range, please have this information ready when requesting information by phone or email. Some sources for legal descriptions are tax records, property titles and mortgage records, and plat books.
